1) How is Escrow /i different from regular Escrow? Typically, we recommend all users to use Escrow if they want to buy or sell from an unknown party through Internet. The whole process between two services is very similar except Escrow /i provides an additional pre-shipment inspection from a 3rd party for Buyer. 2) What are the benefits of using Escrow /i? Items received from Seller will be inspected by an independent testing laboratory prior to shipping. Disputes between Buyer and Seller can be minimized. Test report will be attached for each test. 3) What is the inspection process? The laboratory receives goods. Photo is taken (shows the condition of the box and packing including tubes, reels, trays, etc) in which the parts were delivered, including any labeling. ESD- controlled environment for detailed examination. Verification including part number, date code, country of origin, lot code and quantity with visual inspection*. Verification of package style ( DIP, BGA, TSOP etc) and material (plastic or ceramic). Measure the dimension of the parts to verify if they meet manufacturer specification (which will be using OEM datasheet). Upon the completion of inspection, parts will be repacked in compliance with the JEDEC standards for ESD and MSL protection. Photograph will be taken prior to shipment, and awaiting for shipping instructions. 4) How much is the cost of Escrow /i Fee? The Escrow/I fee includes Inspection fee and Escrow service charge.
